John Dee has been buying and selling football programmes
and related memorabillia since 1961 when he was a young
boy. John was a regular stall-holder at football programme fairs in the 1970s when
they first started. He remembers stalling out at places like Crystal
Palace, Hendon, Leytonstone, Ilford, Walthamstow, Dulwich and many
others.
John Dee left the hobby in 1980 to pursue other business interests but returned
full of enthusiasm in 1996. He quickly built up a good stock and was back
in the swing of the programme world once more.
John Dee's wife, Teresa, joined him in the business in 2002 and still assists
at Programme Fairs up and down the country.
John Dee was a co-founder of Sportingold Ltd in 2003 with
his good friend, Chris
Williams, and the company quickly established itself as a major player
in the sporting auction business.
John returned to concentrate on his own business in late 2004 and have been
doing that ever since.
John Dee has been a regular seller on eBay since 2004 under the “harakiboy”
banner so please check out his weekly listings.
